Dear Readers, Welcome to your new cross cultural meeting place. We are all just a different combination or
a product of our culture, religion, family ideals, and experiences. In order to effectively live together in harmony, we need to better understand each other, and
explore the wide variety of philosophies surrounding us. The magazine will not take a stand on any particular issue, the opinions expressed on these
pages are the authors', individually. So if you feel differently about anything you read, write and
give us your point of view. In some cases politics could be taken as inseparable from history and culture; also discussing
religion in a cultural context, could clarify customs and traditions, as long as we all have a
positive and constructive attitude, and keep our minds open for the knowledge to flow and enrich
our lives. We extend our deep appreciation to all of you who have made this magazine a reality, for
without your encouragement and support, it would have remained a thought. Some of the
articles submitted will appear in future issues,.. we cherish all of them, so keep them coming. Send us a recipe, a wise saying, a folk story,..from your culture, let us all learn from each
other .. life is so much better when we share it .. Gehan
