Dear Readers,
On July 1,1992 we completed a full year of publication, yet our celebration is ongoing with every time Cross
Cultures reaches out to a new reader and touches a heart. I somehow feel that closing oneself to the surrounding cultures within this country, at a time when modern
technology is increasingly linking the world community together, is like expecting to graduate from university without
reading any books just because those books represent other people's ideas - not our own! The Cross Cultures family is growing, and is being nourished with love and good feelings. Mr. Edwin Laryea,
one of our earliest family members, is absent from this issue, only because he is busy preparing for another active and
fruitful new season .. Extra Points will be missed, but not for long, we hope. Venessa Tagoe, a beautiful new Canadian baby girl was born at 11 am on June 24, 1992, weighing 8.1 lbs, may
she fill Yvonne Tagoe's and daddy's life with pride and joy. To the new readers who have just joined us, welcome to our family of friendship, sharing, and harmony ..
Gehan
